Bobby Jones Golf Club is a public parkland course in Sarasota, Florida, part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail. Donald Ross designed the original layout in 1926, and the course opened in 1927 with Bobby Jones himself hitting the dedication drive. It is one of the few surviving Ross designs in the Sarasota area and operated as a municipal course for nearly a century before undergoing a full restoration completed in December 2023 by architect Richard Mandell, working directly from Ross's original plans preserved in the Tufts Archive. The restored course plays to a par 72 at approximately 6,800 yards and is now managed by Indigo Sports, a Troon company. The restoration earned Golf Digest's #2 ranking on its Best New or Remodeled Affordable Courses list for 2024. The course is priced in the mid-range ($$) and remains open to the public.
Merrimack Valley Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $55 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $55. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Donald Ross New England Trail trip cost
