Greg Norman designed Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, opening in 1999 as a public 18-hole layout โ Norman's first Cincinnati-area design. The course plays par 71 across 6,833 yards from the back tees with bent grass tees-to-greens, and was a host site for the U.S. Amateur Qualifier in its opening year. Golfweek had Elks Run inside Ohio's top 10 in 2010, and Golf Digest has it as a 4-Star rated facility. The course has been through ownership transitions in recent years, with a recent restoration bringing it back to closer to opening-era condition. Daily-fee pricing keeps it in the $-to-$$ band. As a Cincinnati public option it's the alternative to Stonelick Hills โ a Norman design in an area not known for tournament-pedigree public courses.
