Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club was built in 1975 and purchased by the City of Hudson in 1997 specifically to preserve green space and prevent a proposed 300+ units of high-density housing from being developed on the property. The City of Hudson has operated it as a municipal course ever since, with the facility running as self-funding (operating and maintenance expenses covered by course revenues). The 18-hole par-72 layout features rolling terrain, tree-lined contoured fairways, a mix of left-and-right doglegs, undulating greens, stream crossings, ponds, lakes, and strategically-placed sand and grass bunkers. Bentgrass greens and Bluegrass fairways. A new clubhouse was added in 2016. Peak green fee runs $35-55, genuine muni pricing for a course with preservation-of-green-space civic pedigree. Fits an Akron / Firestone trip as the northeast-Ohio municipal round between Portage Trail, Turkeyfoot Lake, and Windmill Lakes.
Ellsworth Meadows Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $55 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $30. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Akron / Firestone trip cost
