Joe Lee design commissioned by Tennessee State Parks in 1972, set on the eastern Cumberland Plateau inside Fall Creek Falls State Park, 29,800 acres of forest crowned by the tallest waterfall east of the Mississippi. The course plays par 72 with almost no parallel holes; routing winds through dense hardwood with rolling elevation changes and 71 strategically placed bunkers (in lieu of much water). A three-time Golf Digest Top 100 Public Places to Play selection. Designated a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International, a rare honor in Tennessee. The most editorially distinctive non-Bear-Trace course on the Tennessee Golf Trail; on-site lodge and cabins make it a single-base anchor for a Cumberland Plateau golf weekend, two hours southeast of Nashville.
Fall Creek Falls State Park Golf Course's peak-season green fee is around $59 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $30. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Tennessee Golf Trail trip cost
