Kerry Mattingly and Gregg Kuehn designed Fire Ridge Golf Club, which opened in 1994-1995 on 208 acres of quiet wilderness in the greater Kohler Golf Region of eastern Wisconsin, 25 minutes south of Kohler and 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. The course plays 7,016 yards par-72 with 70 bunkers and water in play on 11 of the 18 holes. Fire Ridge served as a qualifying site for the PGA Tour's US Bank Championship from 2002 through 2009, tournament-tested credentials rare for a small-town Wisconsin public course. Bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways give the course optimal playing conditions across the full Wisconsin golf season. Four tee sets accommodate mixed-skill groups. Peak green fee runs $55-85 depending on season. Fits an Erin Hills, Kohler, or Milwaukee trip as the 'Kohler Golf Region public card' value round alongside The Bog, Kettle Hills, and Brown Deer Park.
Fire Ridge Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $65 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $35. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Erin Hills trip cost
