Dubsdread Golf Course sits in College Park, a neighborhood of Orlando, Florida. Designed by prolific course architect Tom Bendelow and opened December 7, 1924, it is one of Central Florida's oldest golf courses. The name comes from the course's stated ambition to instill "dread in dubs" — period slang for novice golfers. The 14th green was originally laid out as a replica of the 13th at St Andrews. The City of Orlando acquired the course in 1978. In 2008, architect Mike Dasher led an extensive redesign that preserved the course's historic character. Dubsdread celebrated its centennial in 2024. The course plays to a par of 70 over 18 holes at approximately 6,000 yards and is part of the Florida Historic Golf Trail. It is publicly accessible and priced in the budget tier.
