Gamble Sands - Sands Course

David McLay Kidd designed the Sands Course at Gamble Sands, opening in 2014 in Brewster, in north-central Washington. The course was named Golf Digest's Best New Public Course of 2014. A decade later, Kidd returned to design Scarecrow on the same property, and Scarecrow was named Golf Digest and Sports Illustrated's Best New Public Course of 2025, opening to rave reviews in August. The Sands Course currently sits #14 on Golf Magazine's Top 100 Courses You Can Play, and #31 on Golf Digest's 100 Greatest Public for 2025-26 (peak #30 in 2023-24). Listed among Golfweek's Best Modern Courses.
