About

Dan Maples built Heritage Club in 1986 on the former True Blue and Midway rice plantations in Pawleys Island — 600 acres of towering live oaks, magnolias, and freshwater lakes that feel a world away from the Grand Strand's strip-mall golf corridor. Water comes into play on 11 holes. The par-3 13th with its 228-yard water carry is one of the most feared holes in the area, and the 18th framed by ancient oaks is a proper finishing hole. Ranked #7 in South Carolina by Golfweek and named one of Golf Digest's 50 Best Public.
