About

The first state-park course built in Tennessee (1962), and the foundational course of what would become the Tennessee Golf Trail. Officially the Buford Ellington Course, named for the governor who pushed state-park golf. Set among lush, tall trees on the former farm of Governor Henry Horton in Chapel Hill, ~50 minutes south of Nashville. Bob Cupp design — predates his Nicklaus Design partnership.
