Iron Wolf Golf & Country Club, formerly known as The Refuge, an Arnold Palmer / Ed Seay design originally opened in 1994-95 on the North Shore of Lake Havasu that reopened in 2023 after a significant restoration under new ownership. 'Getting back to original glory' is how reviewers frame the relaunch, following years of decline under prior operators. The 6,119-yard par-70 course consists of 6 par-3s, 6 par-4s, and 6 par-5s, an unusual symmetrical distribution. Two nines (Lakeview, Riverview) play through natural desert dunes and hillsides with dramatic elevation changes. Recent restoration added Augusta white sand, new tee boxes, and water features. Players have called it 'the best course we've played in the 50-mile area', the kind of resort-quality desert golf rarely available in the Lake Havasu market. Paired with Emerald Canyon for the two best Lake Havasu golf experiences. A strong year-round pick with snowbird-season peak conditioning November through April.
Iron Wolf Golf & Country Club (formerly The Refuge)'s peak-season green fee is around $85 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Lake Havasu trip cost
