About

Jack Nicklaus designed Old Works in Anaconda, Montana (1997) on a former copper smelting site — the most unusual course setting in America. Black slag waste from the smelting operation forms the bunkers and waste areas, creating a lunar landscape unique in golf. The EPA Superfund site-turned-golf course that Nicklaus considers one of his most creative designs.
