Quit Qui Oc Golf Club's layered history spans nearly a century: Tom Bendelow, the 'Johnny Appleseed of American Golf', designed and built the original front nine in 1927 in the village of Elkhart Lake. The back nine was abandoned during World War II, then rebuilt in the 1960s by Carl Wiese and his sons, Tom and Brian. Bob Lohman added a third nine (the Glacial Nine) that opened in 2001, bringing the total to 27 holes spread across 250 acres of the Northern Kettle Moraine. The name 'Quit-Qui-Oc' comes from the Menominee tribe and translates to 'Crooked River', a reference to the Sheboygan River that winds through the property and comes into play on several holes. Rolling glacial moraine terrain, mature hardwoods, and the Ice-Age-shaped contours that define Wisconsin's Kettle Moraine region give the course a regional feel that Kohler's more manicured resort cards don't match. Peak green fee $45-65. Fits a Kohler-area trip as the 'historic local track' round between Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run stops.
Quit Qui Oc Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $65 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $38. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Kohler trip cost
