Roost opened in 2024 as the second of Cabot Citrus Farms' new 18-hole courses, with Mike Nuzzo taking the lead, Karoo architect Kyle Franz contributing, Cabot Links architect Rod Whitman shaping the greens, and Golf Magazine architecture editor Ran Morrissett consulting. The four-architect collaboration is unusual; the result is a 7,200-yard course routed through three distinct environments, sandy scrub adjacent to Karoo, rolling meadows of dogwoods and wildflowers, and a 40-foot-deep sinkhole that several holes play around. Elevation is the headline feature: 50-foot changes repeatedly, which is rare-to-nonexistent on Florida courses. Moss-draped oaks frame several holes for an Old-Florida visual identity that distinguishes Roost from the bolder Karoo. As a 2024 opener, the course is too new for the major Top 100 lists, but Golf Pass's review framed it as a 'stirring addition to Florida's hottest golf resort.' Premium resort-tier pricing applies; budget for the same range as Karoo for the second round.
Roost's peak-season green fee is around $325 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Cabot Citrus Farms trip cost
