Arnold Palmer with Erik Larsen designed SilverRock Resort in 2005 on 525 acres at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, owned by the City of La Quinta, one of the most ambitious municipal golf projects in California's history. 7,239 yards par-72 sprawling over 200 acres of playing corridor, with massive native-grass bunkers and man-made lakes that reflect the mountain backdrop on every hole. Golf Magazine named it Top 10 New Courses You Can Play when it opened. From 2008 through 2011, SilverRock hosted the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic, the only municipal course ever to host a regular PGA Tour event. The par-5 17th is the standout: 596 yards from the championship tees, played over a water hazard with the Santa Rosa Mountains framing the green. Peak green fee runs ~$195 in high season; off-season drops meaningfully. Fits a Palm Springs trip as the 'we want Tour-venue conditioning at a municipal-course price' round.
SilverRock Resort's peak-season green fee is around $195 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Palm Springs trip cost
