Arthur Hills designed The Virtues (originally Longaberger Golf Club) in 1999 in Nashport, about an hour east of Columbus. The course was rebranded as The Virtues in 2016. The dramatic Hills routing won Golf Digest's Best New Upscale Public Course of 2000 in its first ranking cycle. Golf Digest currently has it #65 on Top 100 Public Courses in America, and #74 on America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses. Golf Magazine had it #63 on Top 100 Courses You Can Play (2015-16), and in 2016 named The Virtues the #1 public golf course in Ohio. Public-access pricing puts it in the $$ band — strong value relative to the design pedigree and consistent Top 100 status.
