About

Timber Point Country Club sits on the south shore of Long Island, overlooking Great South Bay in Great River, New York. The original 18-hole championship layout was designed by Devereaux Emmet and the British firm Colt and Alison, opening in 1925. The course occupies a links-influenced coastal setting consistent with the bay-side terrain of Suffolk County. The facility has since expanded to 27 holes, with the Blue and Red nines comprising the historic championship 18. A public course rated 4.5 across 209 Google reviews, Timber Point falls in the mid-range ($$) price tier, making it one of the more accessible opportunities on Long Island to play a century-old Colt and Alison design.
