Agave Highlands

Verde Santa Fe Golf Club, now operating as Agave Highlands Golf Course, sits 15 miles south of Sedona in Cornville, Arizona, in the Verde Valley's high desert. The 18-hole par-71 layout was designed by Gary Panks (2001) and plays through long, narrow fairways with lakes and natural arroyos in active play. At roughly 4,000 feet elevation, the course sits below Sedona's red rocks but enjoys a milder climate than desert-floor Phoenix, playable year-round with genuinely mild winters. The course was rebranded to Agave Highlands following ownership transition and has consistently been one of the more affordable championship-length experiences in the Verde Valley. Panks' design hand is familiar across Arizona, his credits include The Ranch at Tonto Verde Golf Club, and his routing philosophy of long corridors with natural-hazard framing shows clearly on the Verde Santa Fe layout.
