Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club

Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club in Largo, Florida, just south of St. Petersburg, is a championship-pedigree public facility that traces back to 1974, originally designed by William H. Diddel (ASGCA) and substantially redesigned in 2001 by Gary Koch (the architect, NBC broadcaster, and PGA Tour player). The 7,015-yard par-72 layout carries a 74.2 rating and 131 slope from the tips, plenty of teeth for competitive play, but plays manageable from the forward tees thanks to Koch's multi-tee redesign. Bardmoor's competitive legacy is outsized. The club hosted the nationally-televised JC Penney Classic, a PGA and LPGA mixed-team event, for 13 consecutive years.
