Mark Rathert's 27-hole municipal facility in Boulder City, opened January 2003, three distinct 9-hole layouts (Desert Hawk, Coyote Run, Eldorado Valley) that can be mixed into three 18-hole rounds. A relatively young course in Vegas terms but a fully-public, city-owned project with wide fairways, six tee options per hole, and a construction budget evident in scale rather than pedigree. Oasis-themed features, palm trees, beach bunkers, lakes, and waterfalls, break up the Mojave landscape, especially on Desert Hawk and Coyote Run, which each open and close with doglegs around small lakes. The bentgrass greens have a patchwork appearance (poa annua mixed in from decades of play) but roll fast and true, with breaks that are subtle rather than severe. Sits 30 minutes from the Strip in Boulder City, near Hoover Dam. The budget-friendly alternative when the Strip courses price the group out, often $60-100 weekday peak with cart included.
Boulder Creek Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $84 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Las Vegas trip cost
