About Cowboys Golf Club

Cowboys Golf Club is the world's only NFL-themed golf course, a 7,017-yard par-72 Jeff Brauer design in Grapevine, Texas that opened in 2001 and is licensed by the Dallas Cowboys organization. Stone markers with facts about the team's history line the course, the clubhouse is a Cowboys mini-museum with Super Bowl trophies and rings on display, and the whole experience is as close as a visitor can get to combining a Dallas-Fort Worth golf trip with the Cowboys mystique without buying a suite at AT&T Stadium. Architecturally, Brauer is one of the most respected shapers of the last 30 years, and he took the assignment seriously rather than leaning on the gimmick. The course plays through thick stands of mature trees framing rolling fairways, with dramatic elevation changes and dense forest corridors that belie the 159-acre footprint. Fingered bunkering inspired by Alister MacKenzie gives the course an unexpected Golden Age flavor. The #1 handicap hole is the par-5 opener at 533 yards; the par-4 2nd is a skinny 376-yarder that plays over a creek to a green bisected by a pesky ridge. At 74.7 rating and 138 slope, it plays honest. For the Dallas trip visitor, the natural pairing is with The Tribute Golf Links, two very different themed courses in the same metro.
