The Bridges Course at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland, Texas is the crown jewel of the City of Garland's three-course municipal golf operation, a Richard M. Phelps design that opened in 2001 as a 27-hole complex with three distinct nines (The Masters, The Champion, and The Traditions), all on bentgrass greens. The nines combine into three different 18-hole configurations. Spring Creek and Rowlett Creek meander throughout all three nines, and mature oak and pecan trees line the sculpted fairways. The Masters is the longest and most demanding nine at 3,553 yards with tight tree-lined fairways, water on five holes, and 35 bunkers. The Champion (3,474 yards) is the flattest. The par-35 Traditions (3,202 yards) features four lakes that create strategic complications. Phelps, whose Colorado-based firm designed courses across the Mountain West and the South, delivered a layout that local reviewers consistently call the best municipal golf experience in the Metroplex. For the Dallas/Fort Worth trip visitor, Firewheel Bridges is the serious-golf muni alongside Stevens Park (Dallas) and the sports-themed Texas Rangers / Cowboys options.
Firewheel Golf Park - Bridges Course's peak-season green fee is around $59 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $30. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Dallas / PGA Frisco trip cost
