The Golf Club at Gray's Crossing, designed by the Peter Jacobsen / Jim Hardy team in 2007, is Truckee's premier mountain golf resort experience and one of the anchor courses of the greater Lake Tahoe region. The 7,466-yard par-72 layout sits at elevation in the Sierra Nevada foothills and plays through gentle tree-lined corridors on the front nine before opening up to longer, more exposed terrain on the back. Gray's Crossing is a thinking-player's course: relatively forgiving off the tee but defended heavily on and around the greens, with some brutishly long par-5s that even altitude-aided drives won't shorten. The 18th is widely cited as the signature finisher. Golf Digest's panel rates it 3.6, with visitors consistently highlighting the scenery and above-average conditioning for a public mountain resort. It partners with Old Greenwood (Jack Nicklaus-designed) as Tahoe Mountain Club's two championship tracks.
Grays Crossing's peak-season green fee is around $200 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Lake Tahoe trip cost
