Carved from 300 acres of hollows and hills along the western shores of Kentucky Lake, the largest manmade lake east of the Mississippi (created by TVA's 1944 Tennessee River dam). 18 holes par 72 opened 1971; major renovation in 1994 lengthened hole #12 by 75-100 yards and relocated the green to incorporate lake vistas. Greens on holes #7 and #13 rebuilt 1996-1997. Golf Digest 4-star rating for 27 consecutive years, among the longest sustained Golf Digest stars on any state-park course in the country. Northwest Tennessee, ~2 hours from BNA, ~2 hours from MEM. State-park lodge on site with multiple lakeside views from the routing.
