E. Lawrence Packard, ASGCA member and architect of all four courses at Innisbrook Resort, designed the South Course, which opened in 1970. In 1998, a nine-hole middle section (from the par-3 5th to the long doglegging par-5 13th) was rebuilt to modernize the routing. The result is 6,620 yards par-71 of links-inspired design that plays unlike anything else in central Florida. Packard leaned into rolling terrain and numerous fairway bunkering to create a British-links feel in the middle of Florida. Ample waste bunkers, 10 water hazards, and occasional Gulf of Mexico breezes defining the back-nine wind exposure. TifEagle greens and Bermuda fairways, consistent with resort-wide conditioning. The South complements the famed Copperhead Course (PGA Tour Valspar Championship host) and the North and Island Courses in the Innisbrook rotation. Peak green fee runs $115-185 for resort guests. Fits a Tampa Bay / Innisbrook trip as the second-morning round after a first day on the Copperhead.
Innisbrook - South Course's peak-season green fee is around $165 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Tampa Bay trip cost
