Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate co-designed the Azaleas, which opened in 1997 as Dancing Rabbit's original course, the resort was built by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians on land rich with Southern woodland character. The Azaleas came first; the Oaks followed two years later. The nickname 'the Augusta you can play' started showing up in reviews almost immediately, and it sticks. The par-72 routing plays 7,128 yards with over two miles of spring-fed creeks and streams weaving through lush Bermuda and Zoysia fairways to Champion Bermuda greens. The signature test is the par-4 3rd (453 yards), a split fairway where the left is guarded by creek and thick rough, the right sits well above it, and the approach has to carry wetlands and a greenside bunker to a 47-yard-deep green, one of the longest on the course. Ranked #5 in Mississippi by Golf Digest (2023-24). Alongside the Oaks, the Azaleas forms the strongest public 36 in the state and anchors any Mississippi golf trip.
Dancing Rabbit - The Azaleas's peak-season green fee is around $89 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Magnolia Golf Trail trip cost
