Memorial Park Golf Course is Houston's crown jewel municipal, renovated by Tom Doak (with input from Brooks Koepka) and reopened in 2020. The $34 million transformation turned a beloved but tired muni into a PGA Tour venue — it has hosted the Houston Open annually since 2021. With fewer bunkers than any course on Tour, Doak relies on steep runoff areas and multi-layered greens. One of the rarest things in golf: a genuine PGA Tour course at municipal pricing.
