Pete Dye opened Mystic Rock at Nemacolin in 1995, building it on terrain that had been blasted out of bedrock, many holes have boulder fields in the rough, and all water hazards are bulkheaded with stacked stone. The course features Dye's signature mostly-oval greens and rectangular bunkers. Mystic Rock hosted the PGA Tour's 84 Lumber Classic from 2003 to 2006, with Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, and other top players in the field.
