Rees Jones designed Naples Grande Golf Club in 1999 on a parcel that had previously housed the Geitz Pit limestone quarry, now a 30-acre lake that forms the dramatic backdrop to the closing three holes. The par-5 16th and par-4 18th greens sit on rocky promontories high above the lake, creating some of the most photographed closing holes in southwest Florida. 6,955 yards par-72. Rolling fairways lined by tall pines and cypress, rock-filled streams, stone-fronted water hazards, and Bermuda greens with the signature Rees Jones subtle-break contouring. Distinctive design vocabulary on every hole, this is not a generic central-Florida parkland knockoff. Private memberships are available, but the course is primarily built for Naples Grande Beach Resort guests. Peak green fee runs $185-275 for resort guests depending on season.
