Ellis Maples 1959 design in the village of Whispering Pines, the original 18 of the club's two-course property (the River Course followed in 1965). Tufts-era Sandhills architecture — small bermuda greens, generous landing areas, framed by mature longleaf pines. Semi-private with public daily-fee access. The value play in the Sandhills cluster — half the price of the Donald Ross trio with similar Golden-Age character.
