Mike Strantz's other North Carolina design alongside Tobacco Road — opened the same year, similar quirk-meets-art ethos but routed through hardwood-and-quartz hill country in Asheboro, ~45 minutes north of the Pinehurst cluster. Massive flashed bunkering, severe greens, and signature Strantz holes that play with sightlines. The completist Strantz pilgrimage round; pair with Tobacco Road for the architectural double-header.
