Donald Ross's 1915 Mount Washington Course in the Presidential Range, restored by Brian Silva in 2008 using Ross's original plans, which unearthed classic touches including a 'Principal's Nose' bunker on the 4th hole that had been buried for decades. The course reopened August 1, 2008 as one of the most faithful Ross restorations in the Northeast. Silva used Ross's 'meadowland' template, opening up expansive views by strategically removing trees and working with the natural rolls and swells of the ancient riverbed the course is built on. Plateau greens with roll-offs in all directions, bunkers canted to face the direction of play, and optical-illusion approach shots where greenside bunkers are 30-40 yards in front of the green, all classic Ross elements executed with Silva's preservationist eye. 7,004 yards, par 72. Ranked #1 Public Course in New Hampshire by Golfweek's Ultimate Guide continuously 2014-2025 and named one of the most notable redesigns by Travel + Leisure Golf (Sept/Oct 2008). The flagship at Omni Mount Washington Resort, a destination round for Northeast Ross hunters.
