North Bellingham Golf Course is Bellingham's newer public championship round, a Ted Locke design that opened in July 1995 on the historic Wilder Ranch property and was developed by Caitac USA Corporation as a high-quality public facility for Whatcom County residents and Vancouver-BC-border-corridor golfing visitors. Locke is the Pacific Northwest's most prolific 1990s-2000s resort/public architect (The Home Course, Semiahmoo G&CC's sister projects), and North Bellingham is one of his most-played public layouts. The course routes through the former Wilder Ranch farmland, rolling pasture terrain converted to golf with mature tree stands along property boundaries, and offers the kind of walkable, Pacific-Northwest-parkland experience that defines good public golf at the Canadian border. The course's location at 205 W. Smith Road puts it 10 minutes north of downtown Bellingham and 45 minutes south of the Vancouver BC border crossing, which makes it a natural stop on the I-5 corridor Washington-to-BC golf trip. For the Bellingham / Whatcom County / Pacific Northwest trip visitor, North Bellingham pairs naturally with Sudden Valley (Ted Robinson, Lake Whatcom) for a two-round Bellingham package.
North Bellingham Golf Course's peak-season green fee is around $65 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Bellingham trip cost
