Rick Dvorak's 1994 Shuksan Golf Club, named for the Cascade peak visible from the routing. When it opened it was an 'out of the box design,' eschewing the modern flat-elevation look of its era for a course that varies 100+ feet of elevation, split by Ten Mile Creek meandering through the fairways. A genuinely different Washington public round. Dvorak set out to make the par-3 11th the best par-3 in Washington State, early returns suggested it might also be the toughest par-3 in the state. The par-4 17th plays to an elevated green, and the closing par-5 18th is a daunting finishing test. No two holes look alike, and Dvorak left fair visible trouble, you see the challenge before you face it. Bench-land topography and a 100-foot elevation range make Shuksan's best play from July through October (drier conditions). A solid Pacific Northwest weekday pick, pair with Semiahmoo or Loomis Trail for a full Whatcom County golf trip.
Shuksan Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $82 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Bellingham trip cost
