Mike Young 7,000-yard par-72 carved out of a working sugar plantation in Plaquemine, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Bayou Plaquemine and Bayou Jacob bring 54 separate water elements into play, only one hole on the course is dry. Sugarcane still grows adjacent to the property; locals read the cane stalks for wind direction. Reopened June 2021 after a pandemic-era closure when residents voted higher HOA dues to save it.
