Earl Stone designed the 27-hole Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club in 1995, set on the Fort Morgan peninsula between Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Three nines (Marsh, Lakes, Cypress) play into noticeably different terrain, marsh edges, freshwater lakes, and live-oak corridors through 800+ acres adjacent to Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Golf Digest awards Peninsula 4½ stars and the course has been called among the most memorable and enjoyable in the southeast. Resort-and-real-estate development surrounds the property, but the routing keeps the wildlife and natural vegetation visually dominant. Daily-fee semi-private pricing puts it in the $$ band. For Gulf Shores groups this is the alternative to Kiva Dunes, a different design ethos (broader, lower-key) on a different Gulf-side peninsula.
Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club's peak-season green fee is around $138 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Gulf Shores trip cost
