Rees Jones, the 'Open Doctor,' known for tuning U.S. Open venues, built Rio Secco in 1997 for the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, then returned in 2017 to renovate his own design. The course was rebranded 'Serket Golf Club' in 2026 but still runs the same Jones routing: six holes through steep canyons, six on a plateau overlooking the Vegas skyline, and six in broad desert mountain valleys. Jones himself calls the par-4 6th a 'natural cathedral hole', 409 yards from the tips with a dramatic elevated tee to a narrow fairway stamped through a rock valley, the green framed by a towering stone wall. The par-3 15th plays to a green nestled in a rocky enclave, and the par-4 16th has its green impressively surrounded on three sides by cliffs. Plush Bermuda fairways and Dominant X-treme bentgrass greens, some of the trickiest putts in Las Vegas. Peak fee $185-$295 depending on day and demand.
Rio Secco Golf Club's peak-season green fee is around $250 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Las Vegas trip cost
