About

Hugh Wilson (the architect of Merion) laid out the Bay Course at Seaview in 1914, with Donald Ross — the legendary Scottish architect — finishing the routing the following year. The course sits on the Reeds Bay shoreline a few miles northwest of Atlantic City, and the original Wilson-Ross hallmarks remain visible: classic mounding, deep pot bunkers and high-faced sand traps, tricky seashore winds, and small greens with subtle undulations. The Bay Course has hosted the LPGA Tour's ShopRite LPGA Classic every year since 1986 — making it one of the longest-tenured women's professional venues in American golf.
