Tom Doak opened Sedge Valley in 2024 as Sand Valley's fourth course, a 5,829-yard, par-68 layout inspired by the classic heathland and links courses of London and the English coast. Doak identified 18 terrific natural sites for green complexes, then routed the course so the greens dictated the routing instead of vice versa. The result is short, strategic, and wildly fun: the course encourages creativity, half-shots, and clubs you rarely pull. Sports Illustrated named it Best New Resort Course of 2024. Golf Digest's 2025-26 rankings place Sedge Valley as Wisconsin's 10th-best course and #51 on America's 100 Greatest Public Courses, a rare top-100 debut for a course under 6,000 yards.
Sedge Valley's peak-season green fee is around $375 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Sand Valley trip cost
