StoneRidge Golf Club

StoneRidge opened in 1968 and was substantially re-shaped by Jim Krause and Frank Burandt in 2002, restructured greens, added bunkering, several hole redesigns. Set in the panhandle lakes region of northern Idaho as part of the Stoneridge Recreational Community, with the course as the centerpiece amenity for the resort-community ecosystem. The course plays 6,684 yards to par 71 with a 70.6 rating / 124 slope, honest mid-handicap test. The signature is the par-3 8th, the course's #1 handicap hole, on Idaho's 'Mean 18' list of the state's toughest holes: a pond protects the left side of the green, a bunker guards the right, and there's no bailout. Part of the Idaho Golf Trail and a pleasant pick in the Schweitzer/Coeur d'Alene circuit. Not a destination-course on its own, but a strong companion round for anyone building out a multi-day northern Idaho trip.
