Geoffrey S. Cornish designed Stratton Mountain Country Club's original nine in 1964, and expanded to the current 27-hole layout (Forest, Lake, and Mountain nines) with Bill Robinson by 1969. Cornish, one of the most prolific New England architects of the post-war era, took full advantage of the natural contours, water, and hardwood forest across the Stratton Mountain Resort property in southern Vermont. Each nine has its own character: Forest routes through dense hardwood and conifer canopy; Lake wraps around a series of natural and man-made water features; Mountain tumbles down the lower slopes of Stratton Mountain with elevation changes that feel alpine even at 2,000 feet. The Forest/Lake and Lake/Mountain combinations both make excellent 18-hole rotations. Peak green fee runs $95-165 for resort guests. Fits a Vermont Mountain trip as the premier 27-hole resort card, pair with nearby Equinox or Mt. Snow for a multi-resort New England itinerary.
Stratton Mountain Country Club's peak-season green fee is around $155 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Vermont Mountain trip cost
