Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed Sugarbush Resort's course in 1963 through the Mad River Valley — mountain terrain at 1,500 feet with dramatic elevation changes and Green Mountain views. One of the few RTJ Sr. designs in Vermont. The alpine setting plays very different from his southern resort courses — cooler, shorter, and surrounded by ski trails.
