Teton Pines Country Club & Resort

Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed Teton Pines in 1987 on a flat valley floor at the foot of the Snake River Range, which means the Grand Teton peaks sit in the backdrop on nearly every hole, one of the most photographed resort settings in the Mountain West. At 6,200 feet of elevation, thin air adds roughly a club of carry, a detail that's more meaningful than it sounds for groups coming from sea level. Palmer routed lakes, streams, and marshes into play on 14 holes, the course is wet and playable rather than tight and punitive. The 16th is the signature: a 202-yard par-3 with a pond in front, bunker behind, and the full Teton range visible above the green, on still mornings the peaks reflect in the water, and getting to the par-3 turn with a ball to spare is the aspirational goal of the round. The 18th, a 472-yard par-4, gets votes for best finishing hole in Wyoming. Teton Pines has ranked in Wyoming's state top five for most of its existence, #1 in 1991 and 2005, #5 in 2025-26 per Golf Digest. A multi-year renovation by current Palmer Design VP Thad Layton wrapped in 2023 with new bunkers throughout.
