About Texas Star Golf Club

Texas Star Golf Course in Euless is one of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro's most-celebrated public courses, a Keith Foster design that opened May 22, 1997 and has held up as a strategic par-71 test of 6,936 yards for nearly three decades. Foster, who is best known for his classic-course restoration work (Colonial, Southern Hills), sculpted Texas Star out of 275 acres of rolling terrain with 100-year-old oaks, natural woodlands, tall native grasses, and Hurricane Creek threading through the middle of the routing. The course has an embarrassment of great holes. The 425-yard opener, named 'Reveille', sets the tone with a sweeping dogleg. The par-4 9th, 'Devil's Point,' is where Hurricane Creek crosses the fairway at 422 yards to force a real decision. The 535-yard par-5 closer, 'Deguello,' is the risk-reward finisher that turns match-play rounds on their head. Foster himself, when asked about signature holes, said 'there are 18 of them.' At 73.6 rating and 135 slope from the Texas tees, Texas Star plays as seriously as any metro public course, and the native grasses + 100-year oaks give it a Hill Country feel unusual for the otherwise-flat Euless terrain.
