The Creek at Qualchan is one of four municipal courses in Spokane's widely regarded public-golf portfolio, designed by William G. Robinson and opened in 1992. The routing works through hilly, tree-lined terrain where Qualchan Creek winds through the property alongside five interior ponds, putting water or trouble in play on most holes without ever feeling gimmicky. Robinson built tight corridors framed by mature pines with sand bunkers and large sloped greens that roll at medium speeds. The signature 1st hole (359-yard par-4) opens the round with a memorable tee shot. The 11th is regarded as the course's best par-3 (210 yards), the 2nd is often cited as the most architecturally interesting hole (398-yard par-4), and the 16th is one of the course's strongest par-5s (503 yards). Combined with Indian Canyon, Downriver, and Esmeralda, The Creek at Qualchan rounds out what many consider America's greatest municipal golf city. It's the quieter option in the Spokane muni trio, less dramatic than Indian Canyon's canyon routing, but with its own tight-forested character and strong value for the price.
The Creek at Qualchan's peak-season green fee is around $49 per round. Off-peak rates vary by season. Call the pro shop for current shoulder pricing. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Spokane trip cost
