About

Mike Young 7,000-yard par-72 carved out of a working sugar plantation in Plaquemine, between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Bayou Plaquemine and Bayou Jacob bring 54 separate water elements into play — only one hole on the course is dry. Sugarcane still grows adjacent to the property; locals read the cane stalks for wind direction. Reopened June 2021 after a pandemic-era closure when residents voted higher HOA dues to save it.
