Tour 18 Dallas in Flower Mound is one of the most distinctive public courses in America, an 18-hole replica layout where each hole is a simulation of a famous hole from America's most revered and exclusive golf clubs. David D. Edsall designed and built the course in 1995, navigating the copyright, trademark, and architectural-homage complications that come with deliberately recreating holes from Augusta, Pebble Beach, and other iconic venues. The 7,033-yard par-72 layout includes replicas of Riviera's 6th, Pine Valley's 16th, Sawgrass's 9th, and holes from Augusta National's Amen Corner (the course's address is 8718 Amen Corner, which is its own playful homage). The concept could have been gimmicky in less careful hands, but Edsall's execution is actually respectable, the fairway shapes, bunker placements, and green contours are closer to the originals than most replica projects manage. For Dallas-area visitors who won't make it to the real originals, Tour 18 is a remarkable architectural sampler platter at single-course public pricing, and a natural companion to The Tribute Golf Links (Tripp Davis's British-Isles replica) for a two-course DFW 'famous holes' weekend.
Tour 18 Dallas's peak-season green fee is around $110 per round; off-peak rates drop to about $42. Cart, range balls, and caddie fees are typically separate. Estimate the full Dallas / PGA Frisco trip cost
