Trappers Turn - 12North Par-3

12North at Trappers Turn is one of the most creative modern short-course experiences in the Midwest, a 12-hole par-3 routing co-designed by former US Open champion Andy North (with Oliphant Haltom Golf's Craig Haltom) that opened in 2021 on a 15-acre ridge overlooking the Lakes nine at Trappers Turn. The 12-hole format is a deliberate nod to Andy North's good friend, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (who wears #12), a piece of Wisconsin golf-and-football history baked right into the course's identity. The layout plays between 60 and 145 yards across 12 dramatic short holes, with green complexes featuring exaggerated mounds, sidewinding ridges, hole-in-one bowls, and enough elevation and green movement to qualify the course as 'the Dells' newest amusement park' per Wisconsin Golf. North and Haltom cleverly routed the holes to showcase elevation changes, exposed sandstone outcrops, and panoramic views of the entire Trappers Turn property. Construction started fall 2019, continued through 2020, and the course opened to public play in 2021 with rates ranging from $40-$75 (walking or cart). For the Wisconsin Dells trip visitor, 12North is the ideal twilight-nine or family-morning-golf supplement to a full Trappers Turn championship round, paired naturally with the Arbor, Canyon, or Lakes championship nines at Trappers for a full-day Trappers experience.
