Trappers Turn Golf Club - Canyon/Lake

Trappers Turn, two-time US Open winner Andy North teamed with architect Roger Packard to build this 27-hole Wisconsin Dells facility that opened in 1991. Three distinct 9-hole layouts (Arbor, Canyon, Lake) combine for any 18-hole permutation, with the Canyon/Lake pairing being the most championship-caliber combination. Supplementary 12-hole par-3 'North 12' course opened more recently, an Andy North signature within the signature. The Canyon #7 is the course's defining hole, a dramatic downhill par-3 with extreme elevation drop, showcasing the sandstone formations that define the Dells area. Andy North recently returned (2026 reopening) to restore this hole to its original vision while improving playability. The dramatic elevation + sandstone combo is Trappers Turn's visual calling card.
