About Alpine Resort Golf Course

The Alpine Resort Golf Course in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin is a recently-reimagined 18-hole layout at the Door County peninsula's long-established Alpine Resort property. Fritz Schaller designed the current 6,272-yard par-70 course, which opened in 2021 after the previous Alpine golf operation was redeveloped. The course sits on the Door County bluff above Egg Harbor and the Green Bay of Lake Michigan. The setting produces several distinctive holes. Hole 1's green is uniquely positioned right next to the rock face of the bluff, creating a dramatic closing frame for the opening putt. The par-3 3rd features a green surrounded by sand, an 'island' effect where the surrounding bunkers catch every mis-hit. The par-5 5th is a long, dogleg that requires careful position off the tee to avoid natural hazards. The visual highlight is hole 9, where the fairway drastically descends from the bluff offering breathtaking views of Egg Harbor, the Bay, and surrounding Door County terrain. For the Door County trip visitor, Alpine Resort is the classic bluff-top round with built-in post-round options (lodge dining, Egg Harbor village restaurants).
