Peninsula State Park Golf Course, Door County's oldest golf course, started as 6 holes in 1921, grew to 9 by 1923, and expanded to the current 18-hole layout in 1931. One of the longest-tenured public courses in Wisconsin and widely considered the most scenic 18 holes in the state, routed through majestic forests of white cedar, oak, beech, and maple inside Peninsula State Park itself. The course plays with panoramic views of Green Bay, the Ephraim and Eagle Harbor shorelines, and the peninsula's villages. The signature moment is a 69-yard drive straight down a 50-foot cliff, a truly unique tee shot in American public golf. Back nine holds the most views and most varied terrain.
