Amelia National Golf & Country Club

Amelia National Golf & Country Club, the Tom Fazio-designed centerpiece of its namesake Fernandina Beach gated community, opened in 2006 and has become one of Northeast Florida's most photographed inland courses. Fazio routed the par-72, 7,166-yard layout to follow the existing topography of the 1,100-acre property closely, allowing a seamless transition between the pine forests, wetlands, and oak hammocks that define the coastal Florida interior. The result is a course that reads as visually spectacular without sacrificing playability for members and guests. Amelia National has hosted many state and regional tournaments in its first two decades and completed a significant $15 million renovation in November 2025 that modernized bunkering, refreshed the greens, and improved drainage throughout. The result is a course that reviewers describe as glowing, an already well-regarded Fazio getting a full refresh that positions it among Florida's best semi-private Fazio designs.
